  • Live ayurvedic lifeAs per Ayurveda walking is supposed to be a great exercise which balances the body and is mild in nature, can be done by anyone. Walk with someone you feel good with like a friend or a co-worker. It helps to relieve stress as well.
  • Eat fresh foods, cooked at home with carefully selected ingredients. Try and avoid canned or frozen or processed foods. Fresh and natural foods are better for our health. Processed foods with chemical preservatives are not so good.
  • Water is the essence of life. Our body is almost 70% water. Keep drinking water through out the day. Water helps to eliminate toxins and help in metabolic activities of our body. Water is a natural healer.
  • Have some time exclusively for yourself during the day. Preferably in the morning. Close your eyes, meditate, talk to yourself!
  • Drink herbal tea or green teas. It helps to rejuvenate and provides much needed antioxidants.
  • Before taking bath in the morning, massage your body with natural oils like mustard oil or coconut oil. Do not use chemical oils.
  • Call a friend. Talking to a friend is a great healer and stress buster.
  • Skin is the largest organ of our body. Take good care of your skin. Prepare skin packs that have natural ingredients. Eat fresh foods and drink a lot of water.
  • Deep and conscious breathing helps oxygen to reach deep in our body and helps in many ways.
  • Always sleep early. During sleep our body repairs and rebuilds itself. Proper sleep is an absolute must for enjoying good health.
  • Get up early in the morning. Start your day with drinking water and some exercise. As the saying goes – early to bed and early to rise, makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise!
  • Having a nutritious breakfast is a great way of starting your day. Never skip your breakfast.
  • Take good care of your hairs.
  • Detoxify yourself from time to time. It helps the body to perform better.
  • Decorate your dining table. Be grateful for the food you eat.
  • Eat good food, exerciser daily to boost your immunity.
  • Spice up, add spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, fennel and cardamom to name a few. These spices not only improve the aroma of our food but also help in digestion and overall well-being.
  • Bond with nature. Take a walk in the nearby park. Enjoy fresh air and the nature.
  • See a vaidya or a physician on a regular basis. A health professional understands better and can help us live a healthy life!
